Side by Side special needs school
To meet the diverse needs of children in our community, ecoACTIVE has recently been developing approaches and materials that will work for pupils with special needs.
During spring 2011 we worked together with Side by Side School to develop and test some new waste and recycling activities. With their expert help, these activities were designed to be suitable and relevant for young people with learning difficulties. Everyone had great fun in trying out the materials and we learned a great deal – which has resulted in a really useful teaching pack, available to download here.
Many thanks to the Side by Side team who gave us such valuable feedback and support!
