Over the past year we have experienced real difficulties raising the funds we need. Much of this is due to increased competition for grants. As a result, the trustees have had to make some very tough decisions to reduce our staff. We’re actively working to address our financial situation so we are less reliant on grant funding and really need your help.

ecoACTIVE (registered 1180582) are an East London charity established for over 20 years and based in Hackney. We are award winning and inspiring environmental educators. Our mission is to educate and inform young people, families and communities to live and work sustainably. Our message is ‘Think Global; Act Local’ and we empower people to make small achievable changes to support our planet. We are passionate about inspiring students, strengthening communities and empowering individuals to become agents for change for a better planet.

At a time of deep environmental crisis, there is growing awareness of the need to take urgent action, ecoaCTIVE are well placed to make a difference. Our work spans across different projects including teaching primary and secondary children in schools in London and beyond about consumerism, sustainability, climate chaos, air pollution, plastic pollution, waste, reducing, reusing and recycling. Our team teach Forest School for children with behavioural difficulties and high need, and ecoACTIVE also manage community gardens residents to urban green spaces and promoting biodiversity including the pilot of the 10 x Greener project.

Thank you! Your support will make a huge difference.
