Project Officer - ecoACTIVE
£22749 pro rata per annum (£18199.20)
28 hours per week
6 month contract with the opportunity to extend
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to be part of a dedicated environmental education charity based in Hackney, London. The candidate must be forest school trained, passionate about environmental issues, experienced in delivering projects, highly organised, computer literate, confident at using spreadsheets and collecting/analysing data, a good understanding of monitoring and evaluating and an excellent public speaker.
An opening has arisen for a Project Officer to work in our friendly, established and enthusiastic team. We are looking for someone who is a forest school trained, highly organised, flexible individual, with a keen interest in sustainability to deliver across our education programme primarily across London.
You will have experience of delivering forest school projects, environmental educational projects, have excellent skills in written and verbal communication, presentation giving, planning and prioritising tasks effectively during very busy times, professional communication with external partners/schools (email, phone and face to face) be flexible and willing to support colleagues when needed, experience of report writing, relationship building and working independently. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, effective time management skills, able to cope under stressful conditions, be able to meet the physical demands of the role, be IT literate and have relevant practical experience working on environmental issues.
