Recycling at Home

Find out about recycling at home

EcoACTIVE are running in partnership with NLWA (North London Waste Authority)  to deliver a recycling project in 28 schools across north London.

The project includes:

1 x Parent event (either a coffee morning or roadshow)

Parents have a chance to learn about this topic in an interactive workshop, and we’ll be sharing top tips, ideas for involving the kids, and troubleshooting your issues.

1 x Assembly

The whole schools can join this project and learn how we can recycle with an interactive assembly!

EcoACTIVE will also be running a competition as part of this project, with one family from each borough competing to reduce their waste and maximise their recyclable items at home.

We still have some spaces available for schools to join this project, contact us to find out if your school is in the appropriate area. Places are limited!

We can never underestimate the importance of also reusing and reducing our consumption for the planet. It can make a world of difference if everyone does just one small part.

Here are some top tips to make it even easier and save you time:

  • Some things need to be washed before you put them out, such as glass jars. Use your old washing up water to give them a quick rinse.
  • Keep your green bin next to the main bin so you can take out the rubbish and recycling at the same time.
  • You could make this part of your weekly supermarket trip and "drop when you shop" in the supermarket.
