I joined ecoACTIVE in November 2019, co-coordinating the Community Garden Network project. I've always cared about animals and nature and I first started putting my passion into practice back in 2011, when I did an apprenticeship in organic food growing at Growing Communities (GC). From there I went on to transform a disused patch of land on a housing estate into “Stellman Farm”, a market garden where we grew produce for sale and delivered activities for local children who wanted to get their hands dirty! I have a full Permaculture Design Certificate and Gardening qualification. When I'm not gardening, you'll find me working as a researcher on social and environmental justice issues, doing yoga or singing!
