Adventure Awaits: Join One of our Free Hackney Forest School Clubs!
Are you looking for an exciting, outdoor adventure for your Hackney child aged 7 to 11? Do you live near Shoreditch Adventure Playground or Hackney Marsh Adventure Playground?
Look no further! Our free Forest School Club is the perfect opportunity for local children, especially those who haven't explored our playground yet, to embark on a journey of discovery, creativity, and fun.
When and where will our forest school sessions be?
Shoreditch Adventure Playground : Every TUESDAY 3:45 - 5:15pm from 19th September to 5th December, (excluding holidays).
Hackney Marsh Adventure Playground : Every THURSDAY from 21st September to 7th December, (excluding holidays).
Who Can Attend?
Forest School Club is open to all children living in the local area, aged between 7 and 11. We extend a warm welcome to those who have yet to experience the wonders of our playground. It's an inclusive space for kids to come together, learn, and play. We are limited to 15 children per session so we will give priority to children who usually don't have access to green spaces or who might need a little support in their physical and psychological wellbeing.
Costs: Completely FREE!
We believe that nature should be accessible to all, which is why all our sessions are fully funded and absolutely free. No need to worry about fees – just come prepared for adventure!
What Will We Do?
The possibilities are endless when it comes to our Forest School Club. Your child can expect:
Nature Exploration: We'll dive into the great outdoors, exploring the wonders of the natural world.
Den Building: Let imaginations run wild as we create dens and other fantastic structures in the heart of the forest.
Fires and Cooking: Learn valuable outdoor skills like building fires and cooking delicious treats over an open flame.
Games and Imaginative Play: Engage in exciting games and let your creativity soar with imaginative play.
Natural Crafts: Craft beautiful creations from materials found in the forest, sparking creativity and resourcefulness.
Tool Use: Safely handle tools like fire steels and peelers under expert guidance.
Scavenger Hunts: Embark on thrilling scavenger hunts, sharpening observational skills along the way.
Adventure Games: Experience the thrill of adventure games that will get your heart racing.
Plenty of FREE PLAY: Let kids be kids! There's plenty of unstructured free play time in the great outdoors.
Taster Sessions on 19th and 21st September
Curious about Forest School but unsure if it's the right fit for your child? No problem! Join us for our first taster session on the 19th of September. It's the perfect opportunity for your child to get a taste of what Forest School is all about. No need to sign up in advance for the taster session – simply show up.
Please note that to access the playground, your child will need to be registered as a user. We can assist you with the registration process at the taster session.
