Green Influencers
Through the Green Influencer scheme young people will learn and build skills which will help them contribute to the local community through environmental action.
The Green Influencers Scheme is funded by the Ernest Cook Trust. ecoACTIVE will be delivering six projects between 2021 and 2023, working with 120 young people from schools in Hackney.
The scheme creates deep, lasting and meaningful connections with the natural environment.

At the end of the project, the Green Influencers worked with Creative Wick to create some videos showcasing some of the learning and actions that have been taking place at Morningside. The Green Influencers tell us more about their fantastic project
Well done everyone!
A huge well done to all the pupils who took part - we are SO proud of you and your brilliant efforts during the project. A big thank you to all the staff at Morningside for their support too.
This video shows the young people explaining more about their project. We hope you enjoy it and are left feeling empowered by the messages they share... we definitely are, and are excited to work with another group who will continue their Green Influencers' legacy!
How it works
Projects are youth led. Our ecoACTIVE mentor will work with groups of 10 young people, aged 10-14, who will be the Green Influencers. These young influencers will devise and deliver social change projects.
Influencers benefit
The Green Influencers will learn a range of important skills relating to project and budget management, social engagement and communication while making a difference to the environment and connecting to their community.
ecoACTIVE’s role
ecoACTIVE, in particular our lead mentor Hannah, will guide the Green Influencers through the delivery of the project across eight sessions. We will be working with schools across Hackney
